Utah Salt Flats

A Need For Speed

Growing up in the Perewitz family, it is no surprise that Jody took up riding.  Her love for motorcycles began as a child and it has never ended.  The only thing that has changed over the years is just how fast she can go!  In 2011, Jody made her way into the record books while at the famous Utah Bonneville Salt Flats.  Jody’s visit led to her becoming the first woman ever to ride an American V-Twin powered motorcycle at over 200 MPH. She currently holds 17 Land Speed records, one of which is a World Record, and has earned four AMA number one plates.

A Family Business

Jody doesn’t just ride, she is also the Manager of Marketing for the nationally renowned Perewitz Cycle Fabrication of Halifax, MA  She works side-by-side with her very well known father, award-winning custom bike building legend Dave Perewitz.

With much pride, Dave has taught Jody all about his business over the years including how to expertly paint.  This family business is known all throughout the motorcycle industry. The Perewitz name is world renown in the custom paint world.   Come down to the show and see some of the many rides that have been built at the Perewitz shop.  Meet both Jody and Dave and find out more about their plans for the coming year.

The 2018 Cannon Ball Run

Jody completed the Cannon Ball Run 2018 Motorcycle Cannonball, a world-famous transcontinental 3,875-mile endurance run for vintage motorcycles. Perewitz piloted "Marjorie," her beautiful 1926 Flat Head Harley-Davidson JD model she custom-painted herself, all the way to the finish and is now one of only three females to complete all the miles in the Cannonball Run from Portland, Oregon, to Portland, Maine.
